This is an beautiful buds-only red tea (hongcha) that is highly oxidised. Unlike bigger leaves when fully oxidised which turns dark or blackish, fully oxidised tea buds turn impressively golden.
This tea is harvested from the Assamica varietal of the tea trees found in Feng Qing, Yunnan. Dian (滇) is the official character of Yunnan province, hence its nomenclature of Dian Hong which means a red tea from Dian.
Being a highly oxidised tea, this tea is sweet, light and easy to drink and is suitable for drinking during breakfast.
Packed in 50g loose in tea caddy
Brew at 85°C, 3g to 150ml for approximately 1 min.
